Burger King is offering a limited-time Hello Kitty and Friends King Jr. Kids’ Meal with Sanrio character collectibles at participating U.S. restaurants, starting Oct. 20. A separate Golden Claw Machine event is scheduled for Oct. 23 at a Burger King in Downey, California; availability and event details are limited in the source report.

Burger King is adding Hello Kitty and Friends collectibles to its King Jr. Kids’ Meal for a limited time, with the promotion set to begin Oct. 20 at participating restaurants. The offer combines character toys with a children’s meal, while a separate one-day claw-machine event is planned for Oct. 23 at a Burger King in Downey, California.

The collectibles feature Hello Kitty, My Melody, Kuromi, Cinnamoroll and Keroppi, according to The Toy Insider’s report, which cites Burger King. Each character is shown wearing a Burger King crown; some figures also hold familiar Burger King items. Toys come in mystery boxes, so customers do not know which character they will receive when they get a meal.

The report says a special gold-colored Hello Kitty figure may be included among the toys. It describes the prize as a 14-karat gold-plated collectible, but does not give the number available or explain how likely customers are to find one. The source also does not state whether a particular character can be requested.

The King Jr. meal choices listed are four- or six-piece chicken nuggets, a hamburger or cheeseburger, fries or applesauce, and a drink. The meal is to come in a themed bag and with an exclusive Hello Kitty crown. The report says the promotion is available at participating locations nationwide while supplies last; it does not list participating restaurants or prices.

A Collectible With the Kids’ Meal

The promotion gives families a character collectible as part of a familiar fast-food purchase, while adding a limited-time reason to visit participating Burger King locations. For collectors and Sanrio fans, the mystery-box format and the possible special figure may be part of the appeal. The available information, however, does not establish the rarity or market value of any toy.

The Oct. 23 Downey event is a separate, location-specific attraction rather than a nationwide activity. Families considering a visit should distinguish that event from the broader meal offer: the source says customers who buy the meal at the Downey location can try the claw machine, but does not provide full operating details or confirm how many prizes are available.

How the Promotion Is Structured

The Hello Kitty and Friends offer is presented as a limited-time King Jr. Kids’ Meal promotion, not as a permanent menu change. The Toy Insider report identifies Burger King as its source for the product details and says the toys will be at participating restaurants while supplies last. It points readers to Burger King’s website for more information.

The Downey activation is described as a one-day Golden Claw Machine experience on Oct. 23. Families who purchase the meal at that location can try to grab a Hello Kitty toy, with the possibility of a 14-karat gold-plated figure. The report does not say whether the machine is available all day, whether participation is limited to one attempt, or whether other purchase conditions apply.

““For a limited time, kids can eat like royalty while collecting Sanrio-themed treasures with every mystery box.””

Prices, Stock and Prize Odds

The source does not specify the promotion’s end date, the price of the meal, or which restaurants will take part. It also does not provide a count of each toy, the number of gold-plated figures, or odds of finding one in a mystery box. Those details could affect whether families can obtain a particular collectible, but they are not established by the report.

Details about the Downey event remain limited as well. The report identifies the location and date but does not give the restaurant’s street address, event hours, participation rules or prize quantities. The year for the Oct. 20 and Oct. 23 dates is not stated in the supplied source, so readers should check Burger King’s current information before making plans.

Check Local Availability Before Visiting

The next listed milestone is the Oct. 20 start of the meal promotion, followed by the Downey claw-machine event on Oct. 23. Burger King’s website and participating restaurants are the places identified by the report for further information. Families should confirm that a location has the meal and toys in stock before visiting, particularly because the offer is limited and supplies may vary.

No additional dates or broader event schedule are provided in the source. Burger King has not been quoted in the supplied material on how long the promotion will run or whether the collectibles will be restocked.
